Charlie Thomas received formal training in graphic design at Central Saint Martins, London and at the Parsons School of Design, New York. Since then he has been involved in a broad spectrum of projects from urban renewal schemes in London and Melbourne with Sir Terence Conran's architecture and design practice to magazine art direction on Conde Nast titles, notably for The World of Interiors.

For the past 20 years he has focussed on the marketing and branding of companies in the fields of fashion, art and design, including roles as Visual Director for the Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney companies respectively.

Collecting 20th century art, in particular printed works, has been a compliment to these activities.

As well as periods lecturing at Central Saint Martins Charlie is involved in mentoring for the Sarabande Foundation, the arts charity set up by Lee Alexander McQueen.
